Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 June 2026

⚠ Important — read before using ComplyMap

ComplyMap is an AI-assisted information tool, not a law firm and not a substitute for qualified legal counsel.

  • All regulatory summaries, obligation analyses, impact reports, and compliance suggestions are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
  • Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice. No lawyer-client relationship is created by using this service.
  • EU regulations are complex, frequently amended, and their application depends on specific facts about your business. Always verify any output with a qualified lawyer or compliance professional before acting on it.
  • ComplyMap is a guidance tool to help you understand and organise your compliance work — it does not guarantee that following its output will make you compliant with any regulation.
  • ComplyMap accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of information provided by this platform.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using ComplyMap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of service

ComplyMap provides a software platform that:

  • Displays information about European Union regulations and their articles, sourced from EUR-Lex
  • Uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate plain-language summaries and obligation analyses
  • Allows users to map their business structure and assign compliance tasks
  • Stores evidence documents uploaded by users

3. No legal advice — AI limitations

The content on ComplyMap — including all article summaries, impact analyses, obligation descriptions, suggested tasks, and deadline information — is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and is provided for informational and organisational purposes only.

AI-generated content has known limitations: it can be wrong, it can be outdated, and it does not account for the specific facts of your business. You must independently verify all information before making compliance decisions.

Regulatory deadlines shown in the platform are indicative only. Always verify enforcement dates against official EUR-Lex publications and applicable national implementing legislation.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ComplyMap and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any regulatory fines, penalties, or enforcement actions arising from reliance on the platform
  • Any inaccuracy, incompleteness, or omission in the regulatory information displayed
  • Any loss of data, business interruption, or consequential damages
  • Any changes to regulations not yet reflected in the platform

The platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically copy the regulatory database
  • Share your account credentials with others outside your organisation
  • Upload malicious files or content to the evidence storage

6. Data and privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the service you agree to that policy. All data is deleted on account closure.

7. Changes to the service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes by email.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which ComplyMap is incorporated. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
